Biography
Lin was born in the semi-rural West-midlands area of Hollywood and developed an early interest in drawing and painting. Inspired by the guileless character and beauty of animals, she strove to capture their quality on paper and canvas.
|
Aged 8 she discovered horses, a life long passion ensued with all aspects of equestrianism, including anatomy, a crucial aspect of all animal and human representation.

After attending night school classes in pastel portraiture, it seemed natural to lin to follow portraiture to a professional level.
|

Following A levels she completed the first year of a commercial illustration course, then moved to Cornwall to follow a degree course in scientific & technical graphics.
|
After working as a commercial illustrator for many years, she returned to a more personal style of painting, allowing her to express her deep appreciation of the unique relationships and bonds that exist between an artist and their subject.
